If I could freeze the hands of time, I would. I love the ages of my children and truly enjoy each day with them. Time is rushing by way too fast and I know I will look back and remember these days as some of my favorite memories from their childhood.
My sweet girl is so grown up! We recently went to Kindergarten Screening and she is super excited for Kindergarten. She is already learning to read. I bring home some of the leveled books from my school and she is whizzing through them. She has about 50 sight words that we read throughout the week and we have learned that we cannot spell things in front of her b/c she is able to figure out what we are spelling. We are going to have to come up with some new secret language around here! She LOVES writing us little notes or stories and her phonetic spelling is amazing. She loves that we can now read her writing. It has opened up a whole new world for her...and us!
ready for Kindergarten Screening!
All smiles after her assessment!
One of her recent pieces of writing: "My cat is lost. Is my cat ok? I don't know."
Not too shabby for a Preschooler. (BTW...we do NOT have a cat nor will we be getting one. Just a random piece of writing she self-generated. Don't get any wild ideas about pets:).
...and the other night before bedtime I asked her to think about what she wanted for breakfast the following morning. When I came back from putting Caleb down, I found this note. Apparently, I am now taking breakfast orders. :)-

We love you sweet girl and can't believe you will be heading off to school next Fall. We are so excited for you and know you are ready and will do great! Trying to hold onto the last few moments with my little girl before then!
Singing the ABC's
Counting to 20
...and if this doesn't scream genius resourceful, I don't know what does. Caleb receieved a tattoo from a classmate at school and asked me while driving to "put this on Mommy." I obviously couldn't while driving, so I told him I would help him when I got home. A minute later he screams "I did it Mommy, I did it! Look at this!" Bless his sweet heart, he somehow managed to smack it on his sweet little forehead and make it stick!
Pooping on the potty!

You have such beautiful kids!
