End of School Year Celebrations

I rarely get to attend Mackenzie's school events, as I am a teacher myself.  Last year, I used up all my days for a family trip to Disney.  This year, I reserved a few to help out at special school events.  Mackenzie's school puts on the most amazing end of the year field day.  It is complete with half a dozen inflatables, and dozens of parent-run activities.  It is a full day event, running from 9-3 and it is amazing!  I loved celebrating the end of an amazing school and volunteering at her school!

Field Day 2014:
Soccer Throw
Frog Feet Race

Duck, Duck...
BUZZARD....I mean, GOOOOOSE!
Jumbo Twister

Fun with Friends

Car Wash

Getting ready for Snowcones!

Slip 'N Slide

Even the Principal and teachers got in on the fun!  Love this staff!

Hard to believe the year came and went!  Mackenzie, we are so proud of you.  You went into first grade already a great reader and writer, but learned so much about reading with expression and punctuation.  Your love of writing continues to grow and I joke with you that one day your stories may be on the shelves of bookstores.  You made a lot of new friends and are loved by your peers.  Wherever we go (neighborhood park, grocery store) you see someone who knows you and is excited to say hi! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see what's in store for you in second grade!

Last day of 1st Grade!

T-ball!

Well, it's finally happening. I finally get to be a t-ball Mom. I tried to convince, coax, beg and bribe Kenzie to join years ago. No go. So, I was overjoyed today when I watched my sweet boy join his first ever team sport. He is a proud member of the Blue Jay's...number 7. He's a natural If you ask me. Pretty sure there's going to be a scholarship in his future. But then again, I am a bit biased. Here's some pictures of the cutest T-ball player ever!

You can't deny, the kid has amazing form,

accuracy,

 speed,

and the cutest stance ever!

And that little hand in a glove...forget about it!

He has the kindest, most encouraging coach!

And the world's best cheerleader and little teammates!

We love you so much, sweet number 7!
Saturday's just got a little bit better!

Pretty sure one day, we will all be watching him play for Major League Baseball, but until then...here's some footage to hold you over:
