Corona Virus

We were just getting into the downhill part of our school year when Corona Virus entered our vocabulary and changed life as we knew it.  We were gearing up for a trip to Florida, ready to finally cross swimming with dolphins off our bucket list.  Then news of the Corona Virus hit the headlines and life as we knew it stopped.  We went from 2 kids playing travel bball, making the 7th grade softball team,

And here's a few fun videos from last year when we surprised the kids with a trip that we never got to take.

Here's highlights from Caleb's 4th and 5th grade basketball seasons and Mackenzie's 7th and 8th grade seasons!  I love watching these two play ball!

Kenzie wrapped up her 7th grade season at Weaver.  She had a great season and loved every second of it!

Throw Back Winter Musicals

I am really behind updating the blog.  But here's a fun throw back!  The first video is Kenzie's last elementary school concert!  The second video was her last (and only) middle school concert in 7th grade due to Covid.  Time flies!

Fall Sports

Mackenzie is playing her first year of travel softball.  It is a whole new beast and was a big time commitment, but she is enjoying it and really learning a lot.  We had about a half dozen fall tournaments which kept us busy most weekends traveling to/from games.

Mackenzie also tried out cheerleading.  Although I don't know that she will do it again, it was something different to try and she ended up having fun.

Cheer season ended with a big expo.  Her team performed a really cute dance and cheer!

Caleb enjoyed another season of Flag Football.  He was on a team with a bunch of friends from his elementary school and they were an incredible team to watch.

They ended up winning their conference and got to play in a tournament in Cincinnati on the Paul Brown field.  Pretty cool!

We had lots of fun tailgating, staying at a hotel with the team and enjoying the beautiful views of Cincinnati.

And when we weren't playing sports...we were cheering on our local H.S. football team!

Now onto travel basketball x 2!

Halloween 2018

I love Halloween.  I feel it doesn't get the love that it deserves, it is completely underrated.  Each year, we host friends and family for a chili dinner before trick-or-treating.  It's always a fun (and totally chaotic) time!

And of course, you have to do the candy swap at the end of the night!

Although....my FAVORITE part of Halloween is our annual Halloween party with friends.  It is always a blast!  Jeremy and I always have a ball piecing together our costumes...this year we went as a red neck, Nascar loving' couple.

Happy Halloween!
