Puppy Update

It seems like yesterday that Charlie joined our family!  It's hard to believe that he has been living with us for a little over 3 months.  He has been a great puppy!  We bell trained him in less than 2 weeks, and he rarely has accidents in the house.  He adjusted to sleeping in his crate easily too and other than puppy nips, he is a piece of cake!  We sure love this sweet face!

This week, Charlie enjoyed a play date with his sister, Oreo (my good friend and co-worker Julie bought from the same litter).  They had not seen each other since we brought them home and it was long overdue.  We wondered if they would remember each other, and I'm pretty sure they did, b/c they played amazingly well together!  There was lots of playing and puppy kisses and we can't wait for the next reunion!

2nd Grade and Pre-K

The lazy days of summer are gone!  It's been a wonderful summer filled with special memories, but another school year is here.  I can't believe I have a second grader!  I really, really can't believe that  in one more year, I will have both kids in elementary school.  Where has the time gone?!

Mackenzie loves her new teacher, Mrs. Miller, and has one of her favorite friend's in her class.  She was excited to go back and is already surprising us with all the she has learned.  Caleb transitioned to the Pre-K class and it was a seamless transition.  This was the first year that both kids happily returned to school/daycare. Such a nice change! My sweet boy is starting to read and were working hard on his handwriting and use of lower-case letters.

 

 

 

To kick off the start of the school year, our friend's and neighbor's the Randall's, hosted their annual Back-to-school pj breakfast!  It was a lot of fun and a great way to end summer!

Buzzard Vacation

It has been about 5 years since our last Buzzard family vacation.  It has been long overdue.  I am blessed to have in-law's that I truly love and WANT to spend a week with.  We are lucky to get to see each other regularly over the summer at the lake for a weekend, but it's a different experience when you have a whole week to just be together! 

We enjoyed an action packed week.  We started the trip off at Cedar Point.  The kid's had a blast riding rides and enjoying all it had to offer!  This was the first year Mackenzie was old enough to ride legit roller coasters.  She had never been upside down, in a corkscrew or free falling.  She LOVED it...and could not get enough.  Grandma and Grandpa were good to let us all ride rides and take the boys to the kiddie area to ride the little kid rides.  They were in heaven!

 

 

 

 

After a full day of rides, we headed to Kalahari, an indoor waterpark.  It was amazing!  Not only was there an amazing indoor water park, complete with water slides, water rides, wave pools, kiddie play areas....but a full outdoor park.  it was just as massive, with several pools, a zip line, climbing structure, etc.  You could truly stay there for days and not do everything there!

 

 

After several action packed days, we headed to the lake house.  There was lots of relaxing, fishing, swimming, tubing, and being together!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We enjoyed the Loudonville circus during the week, and even got to watch elephants being bathed.  How cool is that?!

Can't wait for the next Buzzard family trip!
