Easter, Part 2

I am blessed to still be close to many of my high school girlfriend's.  We all had kids around the same time, and each year we enjoy planning an Easter Egg Hunt.  I think the Mom's have as much fun catching up, as the kids do hunting eggs and going on a sugar spree. It is always a good time, and a tradition I hope we keep alive for years to come!

The next day was Easter morning. The Bunny made his visit and the kids enjoyed candy for breakfast. Is there anything better than starting your day with sugar and then going to church and trying to sit still/quiet for an hour?  Ha!

After Church, we headed to Nana's for Easter Lunch:  ham, turkey, cheesy potatoes, cinnamon apples, rolls, jello salad and more!  Yummy!

The bunny even left Easter presents for us there too!
After stuffing our belly's, the boys went home for a nap, and the girls went to visit Monty.

Easter 2013

For the 3rd year in a row, we enjoyed an amazing egg hunt at Nana and Grandpa's church.  They always do a great job, but this year was their best one yet!  On top of the 1,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes, there were also crafts, games and guest appearances from the Easter Bunny and a magician.  Oh, and I forgot to mention the firetruck and ambulance tours.  Every kids dream come true!  :)

I simply adore when this boy has his hands in his pockets.

Enjoying the magician's show!

So fun!

Who wants a blood pressure check?

Mackenzie passed 100 %...

and while I hate to be a bragger...I passed 100% too!  Rare for an adult. Yep, I'm pretty special. :)

Waiting for the "go!"
Searching for eggs

There was an endless amount of eggs!

Over 1,000....these pictures don't do it justice!

Sweet girl!
Later that day, Mackenzie brough down two Children's Bible's that she's had since a baby, and she had me read the stories of Christ's death and ressurection.  She was teary eyed as we read about Christ's death and how even his friend's betrayed him.  We had some great conversations and I was so proud of her kind heart.

****Be sure to check back soon.  More egg hunt and easter pics to come!

3 Year old Genius

Our little guy is growing by leaps and bounds. He surprised us on the car ride home with some songs he had learned at school. I guess that expensive tuition is paying off. Way to go buddy, we are so proud of all you are learning!

....and I found this video on my phone from his birthday celebration at school, this past January.  His sweet teacher texted this video to me while I was at work.  Melt my heart.  My sweet boy, listening to his classmates sing "Happy Birthday" and then waiting patiently for the go ahead, to sink his teeth into his bday donut.  :)

St. Patrick's Day 2013

I don't need a pot of gold....I already hit the jack pot with these two cuties!

In typical Buzzard fashion, we celebrated St. Patrick's day full blaze.  On Saturday, while we were out at a friends, a sneaky little leprechaun made his way into our house and made a gigantic mess!  Here is a small glimpse of what it looked like...

Couches and chairs were turned over, green silly string was hanging from the walls, staircases and furniture....and there was green easter grass all over the house.  It took us quite a while to clean up that lousy little leprechan's mess, but luckily in the end, he left us with a bit of a treasure, so it wasn't all bad!

We also enjoyed the local St. Patrick's day parade as we do each year.  It was a bit chilly out, but the floats and entertainers made up for the cool weather. As always, the kids were mainly excited to collect candy into their bags and see the street entertainment.  We parents were excited when they went to bed and we enjoyed part of their loot.  :)

Wow, check that out!

Seriously Mom, more pictures?

Wishing you a little luck the rest of the year!
