Introducing Caleb Andrew Buzzard!

We are beyond thrilled to announce the arrival of our son Caleb Andrew Buzzard. He was born into the World, Wednesday, January 6th at 10:15 a.m. He weighed a solid 7 lbs, 3 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. He has a head full of brown hair, a tiny button nose and flawless skin. Oh, and he has that wonderful baby smell that I cannot get enough of! Awaiting his arrival, were both sets of grandparents, who were able to meet him as we were being rolled out of the Operating Room on our way to recovery. He had many visitors, including his Uncle Buzz, Aunt Kate, Aunt Emily and boyfriend Brian, and our dear friends Greg and Laura. We had an unbelievable amount of calls, emails, texts and well wishes within the first few hours. Our little guy is definitely surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Caleb has been a great eater from the start and is beginning to open his eyes more and look around. He loves to unswaddle himself from our mummy-like wrap and likes to put his fingers in his mouth. We may have ourselves a thumb sucker! He has a quiet little cry (very opposite from his big sister Kenzie) and seems pretty laid back. I am sure these are all subject to change as time goes on, but we're crossing our fingers that he remains a good baby!

Here are some pics from the first 48 hrs of his life!

Happy Bday, Little Man! We couldn't love you more. You have made us complete!

Christmas 2009

We enjoyed our last Christmas this year as a family of 3. We enjoyed new and old traditions and made wonderful memories with our families. Since we couldn't travel this year since I am so close to my due date, we stayed local. We missed not being with the Buzzard's Christmas morning, but enjoyed having everyone to our house a few days later! We also enjoyed a new Christmas Eve day tradition that we hope will continue in the years to come. We took Mackenzie to her first movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks, which she loved. Not sure what was the bigger hit....the movie or buttered popcorn and icee. That night, we drove through town with Nana and Grandpa looking at Christmas lights (a tradition that I have enjoyed since I was a little girl). After leaving Santa a plate of milk and cookies, and the reindeer carrots and water to drink, we tucked Kenzie into bed and finished up last minute wrapping.

Below are some pictures from Christmas 2009!
